The Open Beta on PC will contain all game features, including cross-play and cross-progression, and upon conclusion all progress will be maintained. In addition to offering an uncompromised AAA experience on mobile, the most ambitious game released in the Diablo franchise’s 25-year history will enter into Open Beta on Windows PC at launch.ĭiablo Immortal supports both cross-play and cross-progression, allowing Sanctuary’s heroes to join the fight with each other regardless of platform while being able to seamlessly transition between mobile and PC gameplay. The Worldstone is shattered, and it now falls to the heroes of Sanctuary to fend off the terrors rising in its wake.īlizzard today announced that beginning June 2, players in most regions across the world will take up the call to defend against the Burning Hells in Diablo Immortal, the first Blizzard game designed from the ground up for mobile, with the remaining regions in Asia-Pacific gaining access a few weeks later. The visual quality on display is also impressive.Today we have a brand new trailer from Blizzard Entertainment for Diablo Immortal which gives us the mobile and PC release date. It is grittier, more serious and almost has truly desolate vibe to it. It will be interesting if Blizzard will follow the teachings of Path of Exile, allowing players who prefer to play solo to have their own instanced areas, free of any unwanted company.ĭiablo IV looks much more grounded visually too. These features were generally well received in the mobile game. You’ll find random people who have been dynamically matchmade to you, allowing the implementation of dynamic events and world bosses, which require multiple players to tackle down. The open world of Sanctuary features a multiplayer system very similar to that of Immortal. A few of the features that we’ve seen so far also show a new, big influence: Diablo Immortal. Blizzard do seem to have changed their stance, insisting on the “purely cosmetic microtransactions”, which has unfortunately become the norm for AAA 60 to 70$ videogames.ĭiablo IV looks much darker and more mature than its predecessor, and it seems to be trying to be more of a sequel to Diablo II than III. This new footage shown at The Game Awards has given people a lot of hype, but fans of the franchise should rightly be on the fence given the whole Diablo Immortal debacle.
